How to find your latitude and longitude

  1. Go to Find Latitude and Longitude.
  2. Zoom in on the map to the desired scale by using either the scroll wheel on your mouse or clicking the [+] or [-] buttons in the upper left of the map.
  3. Navigate to your location by either clicking on and dragging the map (the cursor will turn into a hand) or clicking the four arrow buttons in the upper left of the map.
  4. When hovering your cursor over the map, notice that it turns into crosshairs. Notice that as you move the cursor, the longitude and latitude is shown in the Mouse Position box beneath the map.
  5. Click on the desired spot on the map.
  6. In the Selected Location box beneath the map, you will see an approximate street address and longitude/latitude of the selected spot. Double-clicking on the longitude or latitude should select the value. You can then copy and paste it into the appropriate field on the form above.

    NOTE:

    1. The displayed number may have 6 decimal places — only enter the first 5 in the form (rounding off is OK).
    2. Make sure to include the negative sign (-) on the longitude.
